Shopping in Phuket island.

Just because it is FOR SALE does not mean that You can take it back-home with You....   There are things sold at the markets & malls,  that might be taken away from You when entering customs, when you return to your' home-country.
CENTRAL FESTIVAL -  It is shopping just-like back home, with name-brand stores, along with non-Thai food restaurants, a bowling-alley, a large multi-plex movie center,, a Thailand national food-court on the 3rd floor, with different foods which are made from all over Thailand, for you to taste & try.  Once inside, it will be hard to leave. Lots of parking, or take the public-bus system to this location.

NAME-BRAND OUTLET - This is just like shopping at any major western mall. Every store is a name-brand theme, and this entire mall is dedicated to products and name-brands that everyone knows worldwide. Located on the ByPass road, on the way to the airport.
JUNGCEYLON MALL - A smaller version of Central Festival, located directly across-the-street from Bangla Road in Patong.  There is a lot of free-parking for cars and motorcycles, and the public-bus will drop You off at the front door of the mall. There is a bowling-alley, a cinema, a grocery store, and lots of non-Thai, international name-brand stores for You to wonder around in, with two(2) separate buildings of shopping & fun for everyone in the family. There is also a local brewery located on the premises. The basements in both buildings have all the local gifts & nick-knacks, that are made in Thailand, to take home as gifts. Also, all the major banks have offices on the ground-floor or the lower-level, which are open late in the evening, and open also on saturday, when the regular banks are closed.

NIGHT MARKETS -  Local - local - local...  Thai foods, Thai style, trinkets, luggage, handbags, artwork, silk, jewelry, local foods, and even small animals.  Night markets are in every town on Phuket, on certain evenings of the week. Merchants speak Thai ONLY, so speak slowly, use gestures, and always be polite.!  Take a taxi - Don`t drive, parking is non-existent, and dangerous.!  This is not like shopping at a mall, and you will probably only be there for a couple of hours or less, so plan on other things to do besides going to the local night market on that evening.
